Veteran rock band The Rolling Stones will headline the Isle of Wight festival on 10 June 2007.
It will be the band's first UK festival date for 30 years.
Mick Jagger said he would have liked to have played Glastonbury, but "the Isle of Wight was the one who offered, so that's the one we did".
The Rolling Stones also unveiled dates in Russia, Ireland, Romania and London's O2 Arena on the second European leg of their long-running A Bigger Bang world tour.
The 27-date tour will also see the Rolling Stones visiting Serbia and Ukraine for the first time. |

Arctic Monkeys to headline Glastonbury
The Arctic Monkeys and Bjork are the first major acts to be confirmed for this year's Glastonbury music festival.
The Arctic Monkeys will headline the main Pyramid Stage during the event on Michael Eavis' Somerset farm in June.
One of the world's greatest bands is also expected to headline at this year's Glastonbury Festival, but festival organiser Michael Eavis is keeping their identity under wraps, although Mr Eavis has said it would not be U2 or Coldplay.
In an effort to deter ticket touts, this year fans will need to pre-register for tickets during February by filling in a form online or from camping shop Millets. They will also have to submit a photograph, which will be printed on their tickets.
Tickets will go on sale on 1st April.

Yesterday all servers in the U.S. went out on strike in a bid to get more RAM and better CPUs. A spokes person said that the need for better RAM was due to some fool increasing the front-side bus speed. In future, busses will be told to slow down in residential motherboards. |
